This is my new go-to favorite, easy peasy recipe (+ Creamy, Crunchy Miso Slaw). All together, the fresh and creamy slaw and the sweet and salty burger, has so much flavor with so little time and clean up involved.
Ingredients
- ~1.25 lb ground chicken
- 1/4 c hoisin sauce
- 3 green onions, finely chopped
- salt, to taste
- avocado, for serving
Method
In a large bowl, mix together all the ingredients (minus the ‘cado). Portion out your burgers. I made 6.
Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat, add a smidge of oil, and cook the burgers until browned on each side, about 7-10 minutes total.
Serve with sliced avocado (sprinkled with salt) on top, and Creamy, Crunchy Miso Slaw on bottom.

August 3, 2016 at 8:44 pmThis was a great light yet filling summer evening meal. I couldn’t find miso powder at my regular grocery, so I don’t know what it adds to the slaw, but l must say the patty & slaw combo was pretty dang delicious without it. I have a meat grinder so I ground the green onions in with the chicken breast, and I don’t know if that or the hoisin is what did it, but the burgers were incredibly juicy. Really enjoyed it and plan on making it again. Thank you!
